Default Amtrak Train and Greyhound Bus Route Maps (USA)

I was looking at the public transportation route maps in the USA for Amtrak (train) and Greyhound (bus):

PDF Route Maps:
Train: http://www.amtrak.com/pdf/national.pdf
Bus: http://www.greyhound.com/locations/routemap.pdf

Seems like it's not very comprehensive...

On two occasions I planned to travel by Amtrak, but failed to do so. The first was when I found that it goes through all the interesting scenery at night (San Francisco to Portland). The second was when I took the trouble to go to the station to book a ticket a week beforehand, and was told it was booked up (Portland to Tacoma). Not really geared to the customer.

It's better in the northeast where Amtrak has competition from commuter railways and Chinatown buses.

Also Megabus have a good cheap bus network in the Midwest.

I wasn't aware of Megabus. I just looked them up and found their maps here:
http://www.megabus.com/us/schedules/

I didn't know about the Chinatown buses either::

Peter Pan is another one:
