I've created a new section in the Hostel Management Wiki for pages about hostel reviews and ratings.

There are two pages started:

• How to monitor online reviews (reputation management)
• How to improve hostel ratings and reviews

Feel free to contribute ideas by editing those pages...

I've added some content to the improving hostel ratings page. That page is a place to brainstorm suggestions on how a hostel might improve its online ratings.

Most of the ideas probably seems obvious, but I think that many hostels still miss a lot of those things. The initial suggestions that I added are all based on things that I've seen at various hostels...

Feel free to add ideas about improving hostel ratings to that page.

What advice could be given to hostels who are not getting high approval ratings?

I run a hostel review website (and also publish guidebooks) so I should be able to give you quite a bit of advice. I'm really busy for the next few days but I should find some time later in the week to write up something for you.

That would be great... I looked at your site when making the list of attributes ("Atmosphere").
