Problems of access

I am finding that, more and more frequently, I cannot get through to this site. It stops on "transferring data from www.hostelmanagement.com" and never restarts. I try reloading the page and it usually has no effect. Usually I have to go away and try later. Sometimes 2 mins later is OK. On this occasion I tried reloading about 20 times over a 10 minute span with no effect. I then went to an email which had a link to a thread, clicked that, and got in with no problem. Then the normal method also worked. This has never happened during a session, only when I try to enter for the first time, but that now fails about 60% of the time.

How long has it been happening? Is it only this website? Which browser are you using?

Has anyone else had problems loading pages?

About a week. Yes, only this website, although I don't go to many regularly. Firefox 3.0.10 (it keeps installing updates, I think there were 2 in the past week). It worked OK just now, and I said to myself: hey, that's unusual!

And it's just done it again. Failure for about 6 trials, including from the email link. Then suddenly, one succeeded.

Shortly after I wrote the last message, it did it again, this time while I actually was at the page. I couldnt continue using the site. Coming back now, 30 mins later, it opened with no problem.

Could you try clearing your browser cache and see if that helps?

(In Firefox, press Ctrl-shift-delete and then check all the boxes and submit.)

I did that.
Then I decided to run AVG to do a scan.
A longish story including 2 failures of AVG, but it appears to have discovered a whole load of Tracking Cookies and it appears to have cleared them. I still had to stop the scan after 61 minutes.

I tried to get to HManagement. 2 successes, 1 failure.

I can't see anything unusual happening with the site. Sometimes there are server slow-downs, but it seems to be loading here. If you send me your IP address by private message I could check the logs and see if there is anything strange going on (errors, etc.).

Is anyone else seeing the site load slowly?
