Sorry about the brief downtime today. I had to take the site offline for about 20 minutes to upgrade the software.
Everything should be working smoothly on this new upgrade, but if you notice any bugs, please send me a message.
Thanks,
Josh

A new feature from the upgrade is that you can upload photos to your profile. Feel free to upload photos of your hostel(s) or travels there. There's an example on my profile page.
To create a photo album, use the main navigation at the top of the page Quick Links -> Pictures & Albums.
Another new feature is that you can now embed your Twitter updates into your HostelManagement.com profile. Just visit your user control panel and edit your profile. Put your Twitter username in the "Twitter" field and your Twitter updates will appear in your HostelManagement.com user profile page.
Here's an example on my profile page.
I've written about Twitter and microblogging for hostels. Twitter is something like a cross between a microblog (140 characters per entry), a chat room, and a micro forum.
My Twitter profile is here, and you can search for other hostel-related profiles here.
There are a few hostels on Twitter already, like Hostel Colonial, and booking engines like Hostelworld, Hostelbookers, and Hostelsclub.
More about Twitter can be found in the Twitter and microblogging for hostels thread...

One more notice about the recent update:
New users are required to enter a little information about themselves in the Biography section. That is because a lot of spammers are trying to post junk in the forums and I want to know a little bit about new users before giving them access to post.
If you edit your profile, it will ask you to fill out something in the Biography field before it will save the changes. You can write whatever you want there.
Sorry about that requirement -- it's just there to help fight back against the spammers.
