It's a list of DOs and DON'Ts to prevent bothering other guests and management including "DO wait until people go out"...

However, as mentioned as well, showers do offer a bit more privacy... and I guess CCTV doesn't work there...

My toughest experience was when I caught people at the public (!) stair case full monty!!!

I once caught people on the pool table when I did the nightshift. I just went to the (already closed) bar to get a pack of orange juice and didn´t bother to turn on the lights. I almost bumped into them - the girl ran away screaming!

I told the guy I have an empty double they can have for the rest of the night but he was to embarrased and just picked up the clothes without comment and ran after the girl.

i've seen some funny stuff on CCTV - made even funnier when people think they know where the cameras are looking.

i worked with a guy who got caught getting head off his boyfriend by a guest in the common room. he was supposed to be working the desk at the time.

yeah, he got fired.

Many Stories, One that will always stick out.
Had a Scotsman check-in about 11PM, the place was well into party mode. He said “Things look good here. I’ll have a beer before you show me the room.” 15 minutes later he was banging in the loo.
Fastest time, by far, I have ever seen.. Legend.!

The toilets get a lot of action here as there is a set before reception and we don’t allow guest to bring visitors past reception... Being in Bangkok you can imagine how many guest try to convince us otherwise, Of course it cannot be done. Many end up apologizing the next day…. What’s really funny here and happens with some regularity is when some young male guest unknowingly brings back a “Lady-boy” To the hostel bar. We give them the heads up- they hide upstairs- the lady-boy gets mad and leaves. They really thank us the next morning.

There is a time and place for every thing.
There are the brothels , there are the hotels , there are the private rooms in the hostels.
But if the couple stays at the dorm , they should behave.
( Otherwise guise , we should charge more money from the other guests for the ''peep show'' )

Seriously , they must respect the other guests and respect the hostels rules.
In my opinion its not a good idea to accept the gusts in the dorm room , if the guests are allowed they should meet at the guests room , till certain time and then to leave .

And for those adventurous exhibitionists, a DVD copy of their own evening exploits can be purchased from reception for only 10 euros. They'll never forget just how much fun they had in your hostel!

Sounds like a well sensed business venture! Reminds me of those parachuting DVDs from Interlaken but this one sounds more adventurous!
