Thanks for the momento
Had an Australian guy walk through the door last night and ask if we had vacancies - I sent him up to look at a double room (actually a 5 bed - 3 singles and a double - but they could have it for the double rate). He said it was just him and his wife. He went and looked, and then came back and said it was no good as his wife would want an en-suite (which we don't have). Fair enough I said, no problems - and advised him where he might find suitable accommodation in the area. As he left he asked if his wife (who was still in the car) could use the bathroom - of course, I said (there's no public toilets round here).
So he went outside, and a minute later I heard a car being driven off at high speed. So he'd just left, no problem, maybe his wife's toiletry needs weren't urgent.
This morning I was doing the cleaning, and I went out to put the bin bag in the outside bin (on a lawn on the other side of the car park) and as I do it I notice there's a bit of paper on the ground, so I go to pick it up and what should I find underneath it? Only a pile of poo! Basically someone had unburdened themselves on the grass behind the bin, wiped their backside, put the paper on it and the just left it there for some other poor sod to clean up. i.e. me.
Now I may be jumping to conclusions here, but I think the first and last paragraphs are related - we're in a rural location here, not may people walking by who would possibly do that. And we were very quiet last night, I can't imagine one of the people who were staying here just popping outside for a poop on the ground. I'm assuming she'd got caught short as he was looking at the room, and done a number on the ground.
I just wish she'd had the decency to clean it up a bit rather than leave me to do it.
