What is more centraly located ''downtown'' or ''center'' ?
Downtown its American word , but you can see in Europe this word more means like a center as well. Downtown considered as a better location than center right ? Because , as I suppose downtown is the heart of the center am I right or not really ? Thank you for the answers |

I'm a little late on this, but... I think it depends on how you use the word and how the city is laid out. To me, "centrally located" means it might not be particularly close to anything, but equally distant from it all. So if you use "centrally located" be sure to follow up with a quick description of what's around:
Centrally located! 8 minute walk from [famous museum,] 2 minute walk from subway station, 12 minute taxi from the airport, etc. Or, downtown can mean it is the cultural/nightlife hub. In my city, downtown is where it's AT on Friday and Saturday nights. Your website might read like this: In the heart of downtown! Walking distance from numerous restaurants, bars, and clubs. I guess it depends on your city and what exactly you want to advertise to your potential guests. |
