    Default STA Travel

    Two simple questions...
Does anyone else find them a pain to work with? It seems they keep paying us for the wrong bed type....

Does anyone have the CEO's email address? Last time STA was jerking us around i wrote to him and things were fixed in 4 days... but he's gone...

    current guy is Liney...

The only "pain in the ass" as you said about STA is their confirmations. There is one problem. When booking comes through it has one surname on it, say Smith. 5 beds. Kewl. What happens next? When they send their further confirmations they send the remaining names that come along with Smith. Say, Johnson, Atkins, White and Robbins. What happens next is that they send more daily booking reports that would either have Smith 5 pax or each one by themself (which almost never happens). That is the only thing. As for the rest, they are pretty decent and cool.

I think it´s a pain in the ass that there is no online database where you can check your bookings.

I agree that they are way behind the curve using online resources to help their vendors. They keep claiming to be starting an intranet, but when we press them on whether we will be able to download or look up reservations on the internet, they say no... so nothing is changing there.

we just find that every billing cycle there is part of our bills that they don't pay. Occasionally the error is ours, but more often than not, they just decide not to pay for a day or for the right room type.

I just keep wondering if we are doing something wrong in the way we send the bills, but they say we are doing it all right, so i'm hoping to see if anyone else has experienced these problems and if they were able to solve them and how...

They have outsourced that to India. Hire an Indian to write up the bills, maybe they´ll understand those better...
