Thanks Andrew, we have put a lot into it and hope that hostels can at least treble their hostel booking engine exposure by using it for no extra effort. It's always good to hear that people like you think we have a good idea.

HostelTraveler.com now offers an automated XML API for uploading hostel availability, and intends to integrate with http://www.myallocator.com. If others have questions or wish to include HostelTraveler.com (Instant World Booking) in their implementations, please feel free to contact us.

Myallocator.com have created version 1 of their API specification for Front Desk applications to interface with them. Full spec can be found at http://myallocator.com/n/products.xt
This will enable booking syatems to interface with our portal which in return updates multiple booking engines.
Please note that both Hostelbookers & Hostelworld have agreed to integrate with us when their new API spec is complete.

HostelTraveler.com (Instant World Booking) has now released version 2.0 of their XML API. This release enables full 2-way feeding of calendar availability to and from other systems. So, manage your calendar on HostelTraveler.com and feed it elsewhere ... or manage it elsewhere, and feed it to HostelTraveler.com.
