Art Series Hotel Group allows hotels to review guests
The hostel community has been asking for the ability to rate our guests for years. Art Series Hotels are trying out this feature.
Flipping the script: Art Series to review guests
Art Series Hotel Group is turning the tables on traditional hotel review systems and trialling a new program called Reverse Reviews where the hotel staff reviews its guests.
People staying at any of the six Art Series Hotels from 17th April to 31st May, 2015 can opt-in to participate.
Their behaviour will be assessed and ranked using a point system and published online and guests scoring a rating of four or five stars will be rewarded with complimentary stays.
I strongly believe that if accommodation providers could rate their guests, then the general behavior of those guests would be better overall. AirBnB gives us this ability already, and every guest who has ever booked my hostel through them has been wonderful.
It would probably be fun to hear some of the stories from this trial. While many guests are likely to look at this as a contest with free nights to be won, do you think some jokers with nothing to lose will try everything in their power to score a dismal review?
If the option to review the guests were given to hostels, do you think the guests should have the ability to opt-in or -out of the program like Art Series' guests have? Similarly, should hostels have the ability to opt-out of being reviewed by guests?
