Work Exchange: Winter 2023-2024
Our Hostel is located in colorful Leadville, Colorado. Leadville is the highest city in the USA, right in the heart of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. PERFECT ski and snowboarding location hub to some of the best resorts in the nation.
We are currently looking for 1-2 work for stay volunteers in guest services/property management.
We need someone that can commit for at least a 2+ months this winter.
Responsibilities Include:
- Greeting everyone with a smile, making sure they feel at home as soon as they walk through the door or call us on the phone
- Checking in guests
- Taking Reservations
- Answering phone calls and replying to emails
- Cash handling/taking payments
- General office work
- General property management: snow shoveling pathways during shift when necessary, reporting/trouble shooting any property issues that arise
Work for stay volunteers are required to work 16 hours a week, usually across two or three shifts, and take one night of the after-hours phone. They receive accommodations in one of our dormitories and access to all of our amenities.
The area we live in is exceptionally beautiful and loaded with world class biking, climbing, rafting, hiking, running and skiing.
Leadville is very busy during the summer/winter months and it is easy to find a job within walking distance. This is great for volunteers who want supplemental income while in Leadville.
