Casa De La iguana
This is an existing hostel which after 5 successful years is in all the guides, and booking sites. It is set in a jungle setting with three thatched bungalows, a bar/restaurant, kitchen, 4 further bathrooms, three staff sleeping rooms, three dormitories with 14 beds, 5 further private rooms and a tree house giving a capacity of about 37 beds. There is also space to camp and we rent hammocks. It is in the beautiful town of Livingston where the Rio Dulce meets the Caribean Sea. The town itself has a unique Garifuna culture. It is also stepping stone into Belize and Honduras from Guatemala.
The property is leased on roll-over five year contracts. The business earns around $30000 a year with room to expand and develop what has essentially been a party hostel. The price is $80000 which includes all the inventory and lease. www.casadelaiguana.com has some photos for your perusal. Please don't hesitate for more information.
