I am an enthusiastic traveler who spends most of the private trips exploring different hostels in different countries in Europe, Southeast Asia and America. 

Now I want to invest and run a boutique hostel with a humble budget but an efficient way (automatic check-in/out, home intelligent+design appealing).

Something about me: 

female, 30 to 35 years old, I grew up in China and live in Southern Germany for long time. I am fluent in Chinese, German and English.   I was an industrial engineer and investment consultant in Germany. I had profound experiences in sourcing and purchasing high-quality consumer and industrial products from China/Germany and if necessary, I even co-developed or integrated the products for individual projects.  I helped a startup to buy all the good quality furniture, lighting, accessories, and equipment from China to implement the business apartment rental project (in total 45 rentals apartments) in big cities in Austria and Germany, achieving a cost saving of 80%. Besides, I teach myself how to do internet marketing and I am running a small webshop and design studio in Germany now (solo startup). 

I have trustworthy and good resources for furnishing, lighting, home intelligence, automatic check-in solutions for running a hostel, and I could implement all these in a reasonable budget which others could not offer (because I am  at the original source and friends/family are helping in supplying products or solutions)

To run a hostel:

I am looking for a cofunder to co-invest and/or run together a boutique design hostel in Europe, in order to start with a small budget I think it's better to target a place where rent is cheap but is a cheap flight hub city (frequent budget travelers) or IT outsourcing hub(light business travelers/startups are going).  I found some places in East Europe that could be fit which I would discuss with you if you contact me with your introduction. 

Strategy:

The selling points of the hostel could be: startup and smart-tech friendly, design special, a hub for cultural and business exchange. 

Firstly start from one location to implement the project.  After break-even and if the business is growing steadily, I want to raise funding from friends in PE/fund fields to set up franchise hostels and expand the business with the same brands and concepts.

Hey everyone, I own a hostel in a small town on the coast of Ecuador, we have a ton of fun adventure activities available around here but no good tour operator capable of taking tourists out to do them! The surf scene is fairly complete, but we could use more stand up paddles, sea kayaks (excursions up the coast to deserted beaches, caves, booby nesting sites, etc), there's a great place to kitesurf nearby, lots of cool hiking trails and overnight camping opportunities, mountain biking, paragliding, there's a river nearby you could do float trips, lots of opportunities for birdwatching, nature tours, etc etc. But I repeat, NONE of these activities is currently being offered commercially. I know this isn't quite the same as running a hostel but it is related and potentially a lot more fun. Message me if you're interested in starting a business down here, it'll take a little investment to get all the gear but once you're set up it's very low cost to run, and you'll be pretty much the only game in town. I'll be happy to work with you both providing customers from my hostel and helping you navigate the process of starting a business in Ecuador, it's not that hard, don't worry. Cheers!
